Our Dexter Beef
We keep a small herd of Pedigree Dexter Cattle, with (currently) seven cows, six heifers, one steer and one bull. Our cows go by the names of Blackcurrant and Blackberry (mother and daughter); Peewit, Foxglove and Daisy (mother and daughters), Bella and finally Bluebell (who is actually a Jersey x Hereford). Our heifers go by the names of Belle (Jersey heifer, hand-reared and very tame!), Coco and Chloe (early 2008 born), Dorothy, Dahlia, and Delilah (our 2009 calves):  Our Bull is called Knightsway Charlie 2nd, and our cows think he is a very handsome fellow!! As a small concern, the animals all benefit from a great deal of individual attention on a regular basis. As such, not only are they content, they are also very friendly (and more than a little bit spoilt!)
