About Us
We live in a traditional stone cottage on our smallholding nestling in the foothills of the Cambrian Mountains with our lovely herd of pedigree Dexter cattle. As a native breed, the Dexters thrive on our unimproved grassland but are not averse to spending some time comfortably indoors during the long wet winters, so typical in this region of Wales.
Our Produce
We would prefer that our steers were dispatched at home but sadly the law will not permit this, so they travel just six miles to the small local abattoir in Tregaron. The carcasses are dry aged in our own cold store for a full three weeks before cutting here on the smallholding. We are very impressed with the quality of our beef and invite you to share in our surplus.
How much can we expect to pay?
We feel that our beef represents very good value for money with prices comparable to those charged by some of the leading supermarkets for their premium range 21 day matured beef.
How to buy
Orders can be prepared for collection direct from the smallholding, but please phone first as we do not operate a farm shop per se. Frozen beef is usually available all year round with fresh meat available to order - individual cuts or by the box. We also operate a mail order service.
